Breckland Sports Cars Wallpapers

London’s Canary Wharf is the stage for the show debut of a stunning new British sportscar on 9th June 2008, as Breckland Technology removes the wraps from its exclusive two-seat V8 soft top, the Beira, at London Motorexpo.

Norfolk-based Breckland - part of Hong Kong-based multi-national, Riche Holdings - is vastly experienced in the development and production of high-quality, low volume specialist cars and prototypes for an array of prestigious international clients, including Mosler, and has now employed its substantial skills in the making of its own limited-production supercar.

The Beira is a hand-built, two-seat roadster with unique styling cues, based on proven GM architecture and powered by GM’s LS2, 6-litre V8 engine, tuned to produce just a whisper short of 400bhp.

Tipping the scales at some 1,400kg, the Beira’s impressive power-to-weight ratio ensures invigorating performance, with the promise of a sub-five second sprint to 100kph, coupled with tremendous torque and a governed top speed of 155mph.

Bentley Fast Sports Cars Pictures Reviews

Bentley’s rich coupé heritage provided the stimulus for Director of Styling, Dirk van Braeckel and his design team. For van Braeckel, the task was very clear: “To create a powerful, muscular and rakish grand touring coupé with classic British proportions, in the finest Bentley tradition.”

While the new Brooklands is influenced by Bentley’s fine coupé lineage, its design and engineering are thoroughly contemporary. The proportions of long bonnet, short front overhang and long rear overhang achieve the design objective perfectly, while the low roofline, steeply raked screens and pillarless side glass convey both power and movement.

As the Brooklands will be built in very limited volume, the designers were able to introduce unique features that necessitate specialist coach-building techniques, as Programme Director, Ashley Wickham, reveals: “The Brooklands’ beautiful flowing lines are testament to the traditional coach-building skills and craftsmanship of Crewe’s highly talented workforce.”

The ‘floating’ rear screen, for example, is a contemporary take on traditional coachbuilt Bentleys. The lower edge of the screen sits well above the upper edge of the boot lid to provide a flowing, flawless line to the back of the car. This can only be achieved by individually hand-welding the rear wings to the C-pillars.

Aston Martin fast Sports Cars Pictures

For all those who consider the ultra-quirky styling of Nissan’s Cube compact a bit too conservative, we invite you to have a look at the all-new 2011 Nissan Juke. Built on the same underpinnings as the boxy Cube, the compact Juke slots into the Nissan crossover lineup beneath the compact Rogue.

The Juke will come with a turbocharged, direct-injection 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder that’s said to put out a healthy 180 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque. Bolted to that engine will be either a standard continuously variable automatic transmission or an available six-speed manual gearbox. A choice of front- or all-wheel drive rounds out the powertrain possibilities.

Ascari Furious Cars Wallpapers

There are cars that make you smile. There are cars that make you angry. However, very few cars make you more religious. Enter the Ascari KZ1, a car that possesses this very rare quality. Why you may ask?

Simple, the moment you stab the throttle in this phenomenal machine, the force with which it'll shoot you forward will have you calling out for Jesus, Buddha or any other religious figure you care to mention.Yes, this car is stunningly fast, but wherever I went, the first question most people asked was not how fast, but what is it?

The name Ascari comes from Alberto Ascari, a famous racing driver from the 1950s. This little known car company has been around for 11 years now. Originally set up in Dorset, England, the company moved to its new headquarters in Banbury back in 2000. While its earlier cars, the FGT and its later derivative the Ecosse were produced in the old factory, the new premises was designed in mind to build Ascari's new car, the KZ1.

It's not just road cars Ascari produces either, since 1999 Team Ascari has been operational, competing in Le Mans and the Daytona 24 hour races, in the LMP category. It's also now competing in the World FIA sports car championship and the Spanish GT championship with a racing version of the KZ1 road car.
