The world has been hearing of the Ferruccio Covini C6W or the Covini 6 Wheel for more than three decades. The much talked about wonder car was conceptualised way back in 1974 but could not be made because of the technical limitations owed to a six wheel car.
Circa 2004, the car finally saw the light of the day thanks to the advances in technology and research. The Geneva Motor Show gave us a glimpse of the C6W, which soon disappeared again.
And now, the car will be seen zooming on the streets very soon as Covini Engineering went into a pact with PMI SpA. The car will now be called PMI Covini with a naturally aspirated V8 that is believed to generate 440 PS and reach a speed of 185 mph.
In fact, the vehicle has rear wheel drive ability plus is equipped with a mechanical six-speed gearbox, an independent front as well as a rear wishbone suspension. The front wheels are 15-inch while the rear are 20-inch, all geared with Brembo disk brakes.
