One step closer.
With last year crisscrossing, EB2 India most apps are cleared upto september 2004. We should not have too many in 2004 except substitution cases.
Hope it will step into 2005 in next 4 months....
Atleast 5 in my office and 5 in friend circle :-)
But I wish what you say is true that not many left in 2003.. and dates move to 2004 and then further...

Since we submitted the RFE response, there has been LUDs on daily basis since April 23.

It seems that some of us want to fight, but don't have a dedicated thread. Instead we have been hijacking other useful threads.
What I propose here is a FIGHT THREAD.
Yes, this is a copycat idea from FIGHT CLUB
How we go about:
1.) Establish a dedicated thread - just for fighting.
2.) At a pre-determined time (of day or night), fighters login.
3.) They start fighting and all posts/fights will be restricted to FIGHT THREAD only.
4.) Fight ends at a specificed time.
5.) Fighters take a break until the next schedule (may be daily or thrice a week)
6.) Fighters donot desecrate other threads, if they do, they will be banned from FIGHT THREAD.

Sad to see your Schadenfreude. Anyway, the reason we other EB3s thought of a different distribution scheme is because of November's Bulletin 2005 (http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_2712.html)
The AC21 removed the per-country limit in any calendar quarter in which overall applicant demand for Employment-based visa numbers is less than the total of such numbers available.
Isn't it fair to ask for the reasons why the interpretation of the laws has changed?

Those who got labor sub and got their GCs already must reapply within XX days or their GCs will be deemed invalid? How do you think will such a rule be?
If labor substitution, applying 140 in 45 days etc.. are the kind of rules that are being framed, it is mainly because all the companies started exploiting these rules.
It can be hypocratically argued that Desi companies only sell labor and misuse it, but from a larger perspective, any company including those multibillion dollar companies may actually misuse labors ie like HR will use sub labor for friend, lawyer may educate HR about the loophole and they will use it as a card for new hires. If such a thing is stopped there is no room for misuse of any form. We have to thank Desi companies because in someway, by totally exploiting the loophole, they helped this cause.
45 days in filing 140. Believe me, such deadline is definitely achievable. 140 is a simple process and all that is needed is company audit and tax reports. I guess time will be given to those who already have labor certified and not applied for 140 for whatever reason.
Such a rule must come even for filing 485. So that companies don't drag that too.
Like most of the people have told earlier, changes are coming, a lot of changes are coming in the system and people are working in the background to streamline the system.
I am not sure if this is true, but I have heard that IRS is now exposing its database to INS, DOL, SSA, DOS, Consulates and DMVs also can participate in it. Any kind of discrepency in salary or status can be exposed by this.
IV iks definitely making a difference. IV has been extremely neutral in all its demands and causes and has raised excellent awareness, I am sure these sites are regularly monitored, which makes a lot of difference.

Can we each leave a 'personalized note' on how much we have contributed in Federal / State / Social Security taxes + Medicare / etc.???? Even a rough order estimate... to get them to listen to us seriously.

2. Collect the data (anonymously, of course) and send a written brief to each Senator in that state - making a clear economic case to how we contribute
3. Collect the data (nationally, with statistical analysis thrown in) and send a written brief to all Senators - making a case at a national level.
We need eye-popping numbers, charts and quotes ... to continue the PR around high skilled immigrant needs.

Can we trade in commodities on H1 or L1 status?
Is it too risky like forex trading?
Who are the online brokers offer commodity trading?

You have to register (males only) if you become a Permanent Resident in the ages 18-26; otherwise you could have problems during naturalization (N-400 has a specific question for Selective Service) and securing Federal Student Aid.
