I think this is the best idea that I have seen on the forum so far. Out of all of them so far....rallies, flowers, pizzas . Really speaking, if this action is indorsed by IV, this would be great. I think this is doable and does not require any change in existing rules about visas. I am all for it and many thanks for the suggestion.

Ok guys if at all this helps someone.......
My old passport had my surname as FNU,Given name as X **Y** Z**
My visa also has the same.
My I94 which i filled out has First name Z **and family name X** Y(only Initial).
When i renewed my passport i had it as
Surname X**
Given name Z** Y**
It was just the way i filled our the application and though they told me the name would be the same as in the previous one they issued based on what i filled up.
All my school records have X.Y.Z**
I had consulted my attorney and she said that USCIS is aware of thie name confusion and as long as all the names are there there should not be any problems.It doesnt matter if they are jumbled.Now even if she was wrong i am not worried at this stage.
I have made up my mind to handle an issue when it comes.Y do we want to confuse with unnecessary fears.Planning ahead is good as long as it gives us peace,but not at the cost of our peace.

I think we should start a campaign where members will contribute $25 for every 2 months (recurring) untill another 6 months.
So, immigrationvoice would be adding funds to the tune of 175K every 2 months and also $25 every 2 months is not a big deal for most of us.
This way we are guranteed atleast some portions of our funds. Even if $25 is a lot of money, $10 can also be acceptible if they are paying a recurring payment. To sustain this campaign and maintain our presence in this space we need funds.
Let us know, who are ready to sign up for this campaign?

Thank you very much for starting this. We will be able to use all our resources in the coming months to get something done if we have sufficient funds that meet our target of 60K by December end. If all members get active, there is no doubt that we will succeed very soon.

The dedication and resolve they showed approaching key people in lawmakers office was just so inspirational. Specifically, the way Aman was talking to individual IV members without taking anything for granted. None of it was for individual cause but for the entire team which means "you". So the best we could do is help the group financially and provide the means to approach for more stronger lobbying efforts. Let's be real, at the end of the day, money talks in the senate ! and we all can contribute little by little and provide the backbone for us and incoming generations..so let's do it folks, please step up...all required is $20 per member...

people who already applied for GC (any EB) and are waiting, understand that you are lucky to cross that line.. in currrent economy, it doesn't matter if its EB2 or EB3, any job posting out there will get 100s of resumes and we are politely told to look for other options outside the country.. guess the below statement is true for everyone who needs to apply now..
